Upcoming Rides – June 27th – July 1st

Below are the upcoming club rides. With the lessening of restrictions on our activities we are able to offer a limited number of “Try-it” spots on each ride. This is a great way for non-members to come and participate in a ride or two before joining. These spots can also be useful for any members to bring friends/family along for a club ride. To participate as a “Try-it” you simply need to complete the Non-member Waiver and return it to the Pavers 1 hour before the scheduled ride begins. Completed waivers can be emailed to the Pavers .

Sunday June 27th – Club group ride at Buffalo Pound. Ride starts at 8:30 Lower Chalet. The ride will separate into a novice and intermediate groups. Sign up so we can ensure a ride leader is there for each level. Ride details are posted in Cycle Club, sign-up and complete the health check.

Pedals Ride (June 30th) – meet at the bridge for 9am trail ride. This is Moose Jaw’s only ladies only group trail ride. Bring water, bike and helmet. Also sign up in the app.

Thursday Night Ride (July 1st) – meet at the 7th Avenue bridge at 6:15 pm. The ride will separate into a novice and intermediate groups. This is a trail ride and will be 60-90 minutes, enjoying the trails in Wakamow Valley. Trail conditions are AWESOME! A mountain bike is most suitable for this ride. Bring water and wear your helmet! Sign up in the app so that leaders for both ride groups are avaible to the ride.

Cycle Club App

As a registered club member you will have access to something new called CycleClubApp. This is a tool provided by Saskatchewan Cycling Association that includes features for organizing rides including signup and attendance, ride updates and a covid pre-ride check. The app is available both on the web or via a mobile app. It is really easy to get started following the instructions at https://www.cycleclubapp.com/getting-started . If you have any questions or need some guidance setting up email support@cycleclubapp.com.

Whats New!

While things may have been quiet on here over the Winter, we have been busy.  Since the AGM a Club Constitution has been developed to support the Bylaws that were approved.  These are HERE.  Going forward the Club Board will be comprised of an Executive Board and coordinators.  The constitution provides the operational framework.  The Board members are posted HERE.

As we look forward to activities for 2021, there are unknowns, but we are planning to hold the club activities that we can within the framework of the SCA Return to Play, along with the Provinces public health restrictions.  Hopefully, there is some clarity on the situation soon and we can post a tentative plan for 2021 by mid March.

Registration is now open for the year (LINK) and membership will be required to participate in all club activities.  Membership is important for the club.  Memberships help assist us with obtaining grants for expenses related to trail maintenance.  Membership also provides you with insurance for club activities. This year we are offering an option for members to extend their coverage for training outside the club sanctioned activities.  The extended coverage cost is $20.00 for the year and can be purchased during registration.

See you on the road or trails!

Open House Ride

Enjoyable spring ride through Wakamow Valley.

The Moose Jaw Pavers are hosting a recreational ride along the trails of Wakamow Valley on Saturday, April 27th. We want to introduce and inspire fellow Moose Javians to hit the trails. This is a great chance to experience riding with your community members and explore the valley in a new way. All you need is a mountain bike in working condition, helmet, and water. Experienced riders from the club will be leading the ride, focusing on smiles not miles! You do not need to be a member of the club to attend this ride but you do need to complete the waiver below.

RSVP prior to ride: moosejawpavers@gmail.com

When: April 27 @ 10:30am
