Club Rides – week of August 1st

Prairie Pedals MTB Ride & Club Ride – Monday, Aug. 1st – meet @ 9:00 m at the lower Chalet trailhead at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park. We will break into a couple groups and the ride will be 90-120 min. Expect some hills and lots of fun riding. Bring water and snacks.

Wednesday Night MTB Ride – Wednesday, Aug. 3rd – meet at the 7th Avenue Bridge and be ready to ride at 6:15 pm. This will be a 90-minute ride through Wakamow Valley. The trails are in fantastic shape and expect to ride the singletrack and have fun on the trails. Any mountain bike is the most suitable bike for this ride. Bring water and wear a helmet. 

Thursday Night Road Ride – Aug. 4th – meet at the Safeway patio and be ready to ride at 6:00 pm as the ride will be leaving then. Expect a 60-minute ride that will be no-drop. The route will be determined based on the wind direction. Any road bike will be suitable. A taillight and flashing headlight are recommended as they increase visibility during the ride. There are some great options available in local bike shops.

Club Rides – Week of July 25th

Last week of July, trails are in great shape. Little overgrown but lots of great riding in town. This week the club rides are as below.

Prairie Pedals MTB Ride – Monday, July 25th – meet @ 6:15 pm at the 7th Avenue Bridge (bottom of 7th Ave). Come out and have fun learning to mountain bike in this friendly, casual, supportive group ride geared towards the beginner rider, for women-only. This recreational ride will help you gain basic mountain bike skills and help you learn and maintain the components of your bike. Led by an experienced rider, this 90-minute ride will familiarize you with the trails of the beautiful Wakamow Valley. Meet @ 615pm at the 7th Avenue Bridge (bottom of 7th Ave).
