Tuesday Night Ride
August 27, 2019
6:15 pm Start Time
Leaving from DQ on Caribou St W between 4th and 5th Avenue.
There are two types of lights you can use on your bike:
- Lights “To Be Seen” allow others to see you. Small and inexpensive.
- Lights “To See With” allow you to see where you are going.
At present, you will need lights “to be seen” for the ride home after TNR.
Soon, you will need lights “to see with”, so start shopping.
Bicycle lights are easy to find, “lumens” is the important statistic.
Lights with Lumens above 700 are suitable for trail riding in the dark.
In general, the more lumens, the faster you can ride in the dark.
Ideally you want to have a light on your head, a light on your handlebars, and a taillight.
For more tips, come to TNR.
A 90-minute ride on the trails of the Moose Jaw River valley.
Sunset is at 7:57pm, Civil Twilight is at 8:32pm.
Complete an ABC-Quick Check of your bicycle.
Bring something to drink.
Wear a helmet.
See you at DQ,
Bob
