Thank you everyone who came out yesterday to help with the race day activities.  Not only were we able to have a course marshal at important parts of the course but we had 2 which is really important because of the heat.  SCA was really impressed that we provided so many volunteers.

We received many compliments from racers, spectators and SCA about the quality of the event.  SCA particularly mentioned the prep work that went into the race course.  From trail work to course marking they were really impressed.  The race participants really enjoy the variety on the race course that is provided at Buffalo Pound.  Of course this wouldn’t of been possible without the help of Tim, Matt, Jocelyn, Pierre, Brian, and Rob who were out last Monday cutting the grass, trees and repairing eroded portions of the trail.

It was also great to see that we had 16 club members participate in the race.  We had several members make the podium for their category and all the Pavers had really strong races.  As a club we did excellent.  Way to go everyone who participated.  Next race is Provincial on August 23 @ Wascana Trails hosted by ORS.  It would be great to have a large Paver participation in this race.

One more thank you for the event sponsors.  Dane at Western Cycle and Clint from Norco Bicycles provided lots of great prizes.  Clint had several demo bikes available that lots of people enjoyed.  Thanks guys for everything!

Again thank you to everyone who assisted with this great event.  As a club we have should be very proud of the job we did.
