Trail Maintenance Day

The club is organizing a trail maintenance day at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park and we need your help!

These trails are important for cycling in Saskatchewan and comments include it is the best trail network in the Province. The Park is beginning a multi-year upgrade to this area and a strong showing by cyclists and trail enthusiasts will go a long way to show the Park our commitment to this project. Members of the Regina based bike clubs are also attending this event and the multisport club has been invited.

Details:

When: June 21, 2014 from 9-5

Where: Buffalo Pound Provincial Park at the lower chalet area.

What to bring: Sunscreen, bug spray, hat, work gloves, closed toe shoes and hand tools (shovel, tree pruner etc.).

The planned work for the day will include building a rock crossing, fixing some of the erosion on the trails and pruning overhanging trees and grass.
If you tell the staff at the gate you are coming to work on the trails that day you will receive free admission to the Park.

There will be a BBQ at the end of the day but bring whatever you want for snacks throughout the day.

There will also be draws for some prizes that have been provided by the bike shops including: Boh’s Cycle and Sport, Western Cycle and Dutch Cycle.

Please come out even for a couple hours. Email buffalotrails@sasktel.net that you are coming so we can ensure enough food is there!
