Starting from DQ on Caribou St between 4th & 5th Avenue NW
6:15 start
Is anybody out there?
Usually its not until late January or February when I start to feel like an explorer trapped alone in the arctic.
But this year already I havent seen another cyclist in a long time………
Surface conditions are excellent. Cold makes the snow hard and fast, and the sprinkling of fresh snow makes it smooth and quiet.
A veritable winter wonderland!
Yes its cold, and yes if you don’t have the proper clothing you will freeze to death.
If the windchill is as extreme as predicted, the ride may be modified to a more sheltered route to avoid the wind.
And if may be a shorter ride, 45-60 minutes if the fingers and toes go numb.
This means no 9th avenue bridge crossing.
Sunset is 4:59
Civil Twilight ends at 5:37
Nautical Twilight ends at 6:19
See you on the trails,
Bob
